SMRT

Today was a “down” day, I had nothing scheduled or planned, but it is also the last day before I step away from Tokyo and head off to Hakone. I decided to knock the Tokyo National Museum off my list. I had intended to do this on day one, but I got lucky. The museum is closed on Mondays, and I don’t think I could have fully utilized the hop on/of buses if I had spent a couple hours in the museum.

Outside the museum there was a festival, or exhibition of some sort. The best I could tell was that it was partially related to bonsai trees. And food.

Then I trekked over to Kappabashi Dori, the restaurant supply area. Saw a lot of interesting ways to spend a lot of money, but did splurge to buy a fancy chef’s knife.

After that I went back to the hotel, via Asakusa to drop off my stuff, then I went out to Shinjuku, despite Google Maps’ best efforts, to search out a conveyor belt sushi restaurant I found online.
