Rain Delay

Today was never going to be a big adventure day. I was pivoting out of Kinugawa back to Tokyo for the last leg of this trip. I had plans to go out and try and find a bakery or something for breakfast, but it was raining, and raining hard. So, I got ready to go, and when I had a window to make it to the train station I took it.

The window just came right as I was running up against the checkout window, but still.

The five train process to get back to Tokyo went smoothly enough. Though Google Maps decided to play it real wild getting me from the train station to the hotel. Honestly it might have been the worst navigating from the app that I’ve ever seen.

After getting set up in the hotel, I first tried to go see the new Godzilla movie, but there were no options at the theatre I went to with subtitles, so I went out Shibuya for some sushi, and they stumbled upon a craft brewery where I had some fried oysters and a rather good “Sansho Ale” from Ottotto brewery. I did a bit of shopping, wandered around Shibuya and Shinjuku for a bit, and am now getting ready to call it a night.
